As a member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the building and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Performing routine checks on systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety.
  • Monitoring and responding to fire alarms, boilers, and lifts.
  • Using resources efficiently for maintenance and repair.
  • Conducting banking and purchasing small items for the home.
  • Maintaining the building, grounds, and equipment for resident, staff, and visitor safety.
  • Communicating effectively with other teams and colleagues.
  • Aware of Home policies and procedures, especially the Fire Policy.
  • Participating in training and development.
  • Training new staff on building layout and fire policies.
  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Controlling and ordering stock, and checking deliveries.
  • Aware of Health and Safety requirements.
  • Communicating effectively within teams, with colleagues, and residents.
  • Performing additional duties as requested.
  • Undertaking additional training and development programs as needed.
  • Reviewing the job description regularly and agreeing on changes.
