Senior Digital Hardware Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Hardware Designer to join our team at Leonardo SpA.
The ideal candidate will have experience in designing high-speed digital Printed Circuit Boards that utilise the latest FPGA, Microprocessor and high-speed interconnect technologies.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented engineer to take on a leadership role and contribute to the development of cutting-edge electronic systems.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in electronics engineering, mixed-signal knowledge using ADC/DAC, FPGA, SoC-based design for high-performance signal processing, communications and control.
They will also have experience integrating in-house designs with COTS modules (power supplies, single-board computers, RF interfaces), debugging, testing and verifying new designs.
A Domain experience in low noise analogue electronics and or power supplies is highly desirable.
About the Role:
- Supporting throughout the full hardware lifecycle from requirements analysis; through design, and unit test; keeping them under configuration management, and providing plans and progress reports.
- Designing high-speed digital Printed Circuit Boards that utilise the latest FPGA, Microprocessor and high-speed interconnect technologies.
- Supporting the integration of hardware, firmware and software within your project.
About You:
- You will have either a HNC/HND or Undergraduate Degree (Electronic Engineering, Physics, or Systems based) or you may just have lots of skills and experience gained through your hard work.
- Mixed signal knowledge using ADC/DAC, FPGA, SoC-based design for high-performance signal processing, communications and control.
- Integrating in-house designs with COTS modules (power supplies, single-board computers, RF interfaces).
- Practical experience of debugging, testing and verifying new designs.

- Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
