Job Title: Telematics Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

Hammond Recruitment is seeking a skilled Telematics Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Telematics Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of telematics systems in various field locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Installation and Configuration: Conduct onsite installation of telematics equipment in vehicles, heavy machinery, and other assets according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  2. System Testing and Validation: Perform comprehensive testing of installed systems to verify proper functionality, accuracy of data transmission, and integration with existing vehicle systems.
  3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct routine maintenance checks and firmware updates on installed telematics equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Diagnose and resolve technical issues with telematics systems, including hardware, software, and connectivity problems, while onsite or remotely.
  4. Customer Training and Support: Provide training to customers and end-users on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telematics equipment. Offer timely and effective technical support to customers via phone, email, or onsite visits, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  5. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and customer interactions using designated systems and tools. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards related to telematics installations and operations.
  6. Collaboration and Continuous Learning: Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, engineering, and customer service, to address customer needs, resolve technical challenges, and improve product offerings. Stay updated on advancements in telematics technology, industry trends, and best practices through training programs and self-directed learning.
