Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated veterinary surgeon to join our team. As part of our vibrant and growing veterinary practice, GLG Vets, in Chelmsford, Essex, you will provide exceptional veterinary care to animals while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performing routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals, including conducting surgical procedures such as spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries. You will also be responsible for collaborating with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients, providing guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness, and maintaining accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals.

  • Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a veterinary degree from a recognized institution, a valid veterinary license to practice in the UK, strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively in a team and independently, and a compassionate and caring approach to animals.
