Job Title: Dedicated Teaching Assistant for Students with Special Needs

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant for students with special needs. As a key member of our support staff, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support students with special educational needs in various subjects, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with students, teachers, and parents to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  3. Assist students with daily tasks and personal care when required, promoting independence and self-confidence.
  4. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and minimize disruptions.
  5. Work closely with teachers to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and other support plans.
  6. Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  7. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in SEN support.

Requirements:

  1. A strong passion for supporting students with special educational needs and a commitment to their academic and personal growth.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  3. Experience working with students with SEN is advantageous but not mandatory.
  4. Empathy, patience, and a nurturing approach to working with students.
  5. Basic knowledge of educational technology and resources for SEN support.
