Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at the Wayman Learning Trust's primary school in Camden. This long-term role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with special educational needs and develop valuable experience in SEN.

About the Role

This full-time position involves working closely with teachers to provide individualized support to students, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals. You will contribute to creating an inclusive classroom environment that fosters social interaction and academic growth, while also monitoring student progress and assisting with classroom management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver one-on-one and group support to students with SEN, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring every student receives targeted support.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social interaction and academic growth.
  • Work closely with colleagues to monitor student progress and maintain a supportive learning space.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • No prior SEN experience? Don't worry Comprehensive training will be provided to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Show patience, empathy, and effective communication skills when working with students and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate your ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team, promoting a positive school culture.
  • Hold a clear DBS check and possess the legal right to work in the UK.

Estimated Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.
