Madisons Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our team. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth, identifying new business opportunities, and developing a network of contacts to attract new clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and prospect potential clients to acquire new business.
  • Develop customer accounts and maintain good relations with customers.
  • Field-based, you will take ownership of your territory, managing existing business and proactively signing up new business to meet agreed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Prospect the territory efficiently, seeking new business and exploring all opportunities with existing customers through sensible sales analysis.
  • Build and manage internal and external business relationships and achieve sales and service level targets.
  • Stay up-to-date with new product development, market trends, and competition, aiming for maximum profitability.
  • Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
  • Meet with customers/clients and foster and develop relationships with them.
  • Understand the needs of your customers and respond effectively with a plan to meet these needs.
  • Think strategically, seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business.
  • Liaise with the finance team, warehousing, and logistics departments as appropriate.
  • Seek ways to improve the way the business operates.
  • Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world.
  • Negotiate pricing with customers and increase sales of the business.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English.
  • Candidates must be hardworking and self-driven to get sales and be able to put in the leg work to get the sales.
  • The role is out in the field (not telesales from home) and you will be required to attend meetings at head office circa once a month.
  • Depending on the area you are visiting and distance from home, there may be occasion hotel stays.
