HR Generalist Partner

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled HR Generalist Partner to join our team at Sitka Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients in developing a first-class HR offering for their dedicated workforce.
The successful candidate will report into a Head of People and work closely with another HR Partner, supported by 2 HR Assistants. You will be responsible for providing advice and guidance on complex HR matters, including performance management, capability, long and short-term absence management, restructures, and redundancies.
You will also partner with managers on the end-to-end recruitment process, including assisting with advertising, sifting, attending interviews, and onboarding. Additionally, you will work closely with the Head of People to design, implement, and manage various cultural initiatives to include achievement of quality standards and other Employer of Choice Initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and guidance on complex HR matters, including performance management, capability, long and short-term absence management, restructures, and redundancies.
- Partner with managers on the end-to-end recruitment process, including assisting with advertising, sifting, attending interviews, and onboarding.
- Work closely with the Head of People to design, implement, and manage various cultural initiatives to include achievement of quality standards and other Employer of Choice Initiatives.
- Develop and maintain HR reports and metrics and recommend measures to improve performance, e.g., absenteeism and turnover.
Requirements:
- Experience within a generalist People/HR role, with demonstrable experience of dealing with complex HR casework, including disciplinary, grievances, and consultations/TUPE.
- Excellent up-to-date knowledge and understanding of employment legislation, with experience of developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and guidance documents, applying relevant employment law throughout.
- Practical understanding of the Equality Act 2010, data protection, and GDPR.
- Ability to work autonomously, with a flexible and resilient approach, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage competing demands effectively.
- Experience of using and maintaining specialist HR software and payroll-related packages for data entry and manipulation.
- Line management experience, with the ability to set targets and monitor performance against agreed objectives.
