School Support Worker Opportunity

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will work with children who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in schools across Sunderland.

Job Overview:

This is a full-time role that requires a compassionate and caring individual to provide crucial support to children with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), complex learning disabilities, and those with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Support children's wellbeing: Work closely with children with SEMH needs in schools across Sunderland to ensure they receive the necessary care and support.
  2. Collaborate with local authorities: Provide tailored support for each child, fostering a positive learning atmosphere using effective behaviour management techniques.
  3. Develop personal and academic skills: Help students achieve their full potential by assisting in their personal and academic development.
Essential Requirements:
  1. Passion for supporting children: We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
  2. Dedicated approach: The successful candidate will possess a rigorous and determined approach to their work, with a creative and inspirational outlook.
  3. Caring and relational approach: A caring and passionate approach to developing strong relationships with staff, students, parents, governors, professionals, and the local community is essential.
Remuneration:

The salary range for this position is £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
