Catering Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Holroyd Howe. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service, providing excellent customer service to students and staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner, adhering to established menus and recipes.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of front-of-house areas, including organizing dishes and utensils.
  • Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, notifying management of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
  • Primarily be involved in wash-up during lunch service.
Requirements:
  • Ideal experience working within education catering.
