Job Title: Perioperative Team Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Perioperative Team Leader to join our dynamic team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role:
  • Lead a team of recovery staff in liaison with the theatre team, surgeon, anaesthetist, floor coordinator, and ward staff.
  • Ensure safe patient care within the outlying anaesthetic service areas of the hospital.
  • Develop and implement policies and protocols within the clinical area.
  • Support the process of continuous quality improvement, assisting in audits and implementing changes in the light of findings.
  • Act as a mentor to junior staff members, responsible for their orientation, supervision, and ongoing development.

Requirements:
  • 1st level Registered general Nurse (NMC Pin) or Registered Operating Department Practitioner.
  • Further relevant professional studies or working towards a course (Recovery, Pain, High Dependency Unit).
  • Team building and working skills – able to lead a team to achieve results.
