Job Title: Senior Recovery Team Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Recovery Team Leader to join our dynamic team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will be responsible for leading a team of recovery staff in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our recovery unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of recovery staff in providing safe and efficient patient care
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and staff performance
  • Collaborate with theatre teams, surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of patient care, hygiene, and safety
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures
  • Act as a mentor and role model for junior staff members, providing guidance and support in their professional development
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Trust's nursing and perioperative strategy

Requirements:

  • 1st level Registered General Nurse (NMC Pin) or Registered Operating Department Practitioner
  • Further relevant professional studies or working towards a course (Recovery, Pain, High Dependency Unit)
  • Team building and working skills – able to lead a team to achieve results
