About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recovery Team Leader to join our dynamic team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of junior recovery staff in providing high-quality patient care in our Elective Orthopaedic Theatres.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of recovery staff in providing safe and efficient patient care
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and policies to ensure high standards of perioperative care
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Contribute to the education and development of junior staff members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
  • Manage the clinical workload effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Requirements
  • 1st level Registered General Nurse (NMC Pin) or Registered Operating Department Practitioner
  • Further relevant professional studies or working towards a course (Recovery, Pain, High Dependency Unit)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong clinical expertise and knowledge of perioperative care
