Job Summary:
Change Recruitment is partnering with a leading Financial Services client to recruit a Senior Finance Partner to their team in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially-minded business partner to take a lead in engaging with the executive and head of finance around key cost drivers and cost base evolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with teams in the business, focusing on products and internal departments such as risk, finance, and corporate services, to drive commercial awareness and approach to working with stakeholders.
- Play an active part in discussions on spend, benefit realization, and ongoing performance trending, showcasing commercial awareness and approach to working with stakeholders.
- Creation of monthly commentary and narrative, engaging with the business to determine key themes and drive commercial awareness.
- Take a lead role in budget setting and wider planning activity for business areas, driving commercial awareness and approach to working with stakeholders.
- Work closely with the business to assess new business cases, driving commercial awareness and approach to working with stakeholders.
- Critical insight to spend versus cost analysis against a range of products, driving commercial awareness and approach to working with stakeholders.
- Engagement with a wide range of product SMEs across the business, driving commercial awareness and approach to working with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Ability to show a level of commercial awareness in past roles and discuss this at interview.
- Past business partnering experience is key, with experience within the planning cycle, budget setting, and review.
- Financial services, blue-chip experience, where you can show that edge and confidence with numbers when presenting and partnering non-finance professionals.
What We Offer:
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + strong benefits package.
