About The Role

\

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Professional to join our team in Midlothian. As a Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in making a positive difference in someone's life by providing personalized support and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Assist individuals to engage with their communities by planning and attending outings to various clubs and leisure activities.\
  • Administer and monitor medication, as required.\
  • Provide personal care, including assistance with showering/bathing, dressing, and arranging visits with professionals.\
  • Offer practical support, such as helping with daily household tasks, cooking, shopping, and laundry.\
  • Schedule 9 Part 1 (1)(1)(a) of the Equality Act 2010 applies to this post.\
  • This will include Full Time, Part time, and Bank shifts.\
  • Your responsibilities will depend on the needs of the individuals that you support.\
  • As a Support Practitioner, you may be asked to work weekends, shift patterns, and sleepovers if required.\
  • The successful candidate will receive full training by our excellent and award-winning learning & development team prior to starting.\
  • Due to the nature of this service, you must hold a full valid UK manual driving licence.\
  • This is a requirement as you may be asked to drive the person's manual mobility vehicle.\
  • On top of this training, we will also finance and support you to achieve your SVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care in-house.\
  • We are Living Wage Accredited with the Living Wage Foundation, and have Gold in Investors in People.\
  • The Richmond Fellowship Scotland provides personalised and outcome-focused support to over 2800 individuals in their own homes across Scotland.\
  • We support individuals with a variety of different needs, such as physical and/or learning disabilities, ongoing mental health issues, alcohol or substance abuse, and autism.\
  • Some of the people we support can present challenging behaviour or require a high level of personal care.\
  • Paid travel during shifts and 45p per mile fuel allowance.\
  • Continuous in-house training opportunities and chances to further your career in social care.\
  • Refer a Friend scheme - £150 reward for successfully referring a friend, family member, or colleague.\

  • The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum.\
