The Role

As a Dealer Oversight Agent, you'll play a vital role in our Motor Finance operation, responsible for regulatory checks, dealer performance oversight, compliance, and operational conduct. Your primary objective will be to build and maintain relationships with dealers who embody our Admiral values, delivering positive customer outcomes.

This role requires strong internal relationships with other key teams within the function, working together to proactively communicate with dealers where areas of improvement are identified, mitigating the risk of poor customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Due diligence and oversight of the dealer network, including marking dealer due diligence questionnaires and collating evidence from multiple sources to verify the onboarding of exceptional dealers into the Admiral network.
  • Creating and maintaining dealer records within our dealer management systems.
  • Undertaking regular oversight to proactively provide due diligence to the dealer network.
  • Assessing relevant reporting and deep diving into areas of concern.
  • Providing feedback to management and departments identifying any development or training needs based on findings during oversight checks.
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of applicable regulation and legislation in relation to the role and the industry, as the regulatory landscape evolves.
Sharing Best Practice
  • As this role is based in a new and growing team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that best practice and expertise are shared across the operational teams, and to wider business areas where appropriate.
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience in the motor finance industry, with a strong appetite for providing great customer outcomes.
  • Sound analytical skillset.
  • Identifying trends with a curious and inquisitive approach.
  • Knowledge of FCA guidelines on dealer oversight, preferable but not essential.
  • Effective communication skills combined with the ability to communicate clearly to all staff members.
  • Strong literacy and numerical skills.
  • Willingness to be developed, coached, and to take on board feedback.
  • Embracing working in a demanding environment and being highly motivated.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and meet high-quality standards.
  • Pro-active, organised, and able to manage your time effectively and take initiative.
  • Positive work ethic and a can-do attitude when supporting business in change.
  • Willingness to share ideas and contribute to the business.
  • Experience/good knowledge of the following would be advantageous: analysing credit reference agency reports, FLA oversight guidelines.
