Job Title: Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced occupational therapist to join our team as a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Director of Strategy and Population Health and the Head of Strategy to support the development of strategic projects, including the urgent and emergency care strategy for North West London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic analyses and interpret complex datasets to inform decision-making and support the development of strategic projects.
  • Design and develop forecast models to predict demand and capacity, and estimate the impact of strategic options on demand and capacity.
  • Employ expertise in healthcare activity and finance datasets, including SUS, PLICS, QOF, and population-wide datasets.
  • Support the development of the Joint Forward Plan and the planned care strategy for North West London.

Person Specification:

  • Deep understanding of healthcare outcomes, quality, and finances, with experience working with complex datasets and analytical methodologies.
  • Significant experience working with the health equity agenda, including working with communities to reduce inequalities.
  • Expert ability to interrogate complex patient activity databases using Access, SQL, and VBA.
  • Strong ability to think strategically and see the bigger picture in the context of achieving a particular objective.
