Job Title: Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced occupational therapist to join our team as a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Director of Strategy and Population Health and the Head of Strategy to support the development of strategic projects, including the urgent and emergency care strategy for North West London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic analyses and interpret complex datasets to inform the development of healthcare strategies.
  • Design and develop forecast models to predict healthcare demand and capacity.
  • Estimate the impact of strategic options on healthcare demand and capacity.
  • Employ expertise in healthcare activity and finance datasets, including SUS, PLICS, QOF, and population-wide datasets.

Person Specification:

Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of healthcare outcomes, quality, and finances.
  • Significant experience working with the health equity agenda, including working with communities to reduce inequalities.

Technical Skills:

  • Expert ability to interrogate complex patient activity databases using Access, SQL, and VBA.
  • Significant ability to analyse complex datasets and produce strategic analyses.

Capabilities:

  • Ability to lead on developing analytical methodologies.
  • Strong ability to think strategically and see the bigger picture.
