Job Title: Litigation Solicitor

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Solicitor to join our reputable legal practice in South East London. As a Litigation Solicitor, you will handle a broad range of litigation matters, delivering high-quality legal services and exceptional client care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing a Varied Caseload: You will manage a varied caseload of Probate disputes and Inheritance Act claims, Landlord and tenant (commercial and residential), TLATA claims and Contractual disputes.
  • Advising Clients: You will advise clients on all aspects of dispute resolution, including pre-action strategy, mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings.
  • Drafting and Reviewing Documents: You will draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
  • Conducting Research: You will conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy and development.
  • Representing Clients: You will represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and trials, as well as liaising with counsel and experts when necessary.
  • Client Communication: You will keep clients informed throughout the litigation process and provide clear, practical advice on case progression.
  • Regulatory Compliance: You will ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of litigation and dispute resolution law.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: You must be a Qualified Solicitor (2 years' PQE plus) with experience in general litigation.
  • Knowledge and Skills: You must have strong knowledge of the litigation process, including court rules and procedures, excellent written and oral communication skills, and strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Work Environment: You must be able to manage a diverse caseload and work effectively under pressure.
  • Personal Qualities: You must have a proactive approach to problem-solving, a strong client-focused attitude, and proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
