Job Title: Litigation Solicitor

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Solicitor to join our reputable legal practice in South East London. As a key member of our team, you will handle a broad range of litigation matters, delivering high-quality legal services and exceptional client care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing a Varied Caseload: You will handle a diverse range of litigation matters, including Probate disputes, Inheritance Act claims, Landlord and tenant disputes, TLATA claims, and Contractual disputes.
  • Advising Clients: You will advise clients on all aspects of dispute resolution, including pre-action strategy, mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings.
  • Drafting and Reviewing Documents: You will draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
  • Conducting Research: You will conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy and development.
  • Representing Clients: You will represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and trials, as well as liaising with counsel and experts when necessary.
  • Client Communication: You will keep clients informed throughout the litigation process and provide clear, practical advice on case progression.
  • Compliance and Knowledge: You will ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of litigation and dispute resolution law.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: You must be a qualified Solicitor with at least 2 years' PQE experience in general litigation.
  • Knowledge and Skills: You must have strong knowledge of the litigation process, including court rules and procedures, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Negotiation and Advocacy: You must have strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload and work effectively under pressure.
  • Problem-Solving: You must have a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a strong client-focused attitude.
  • Technical Skills: You must be proficient with legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
