About the Job

As a Senior Pathology Service Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Biochemistry department, ensuring effective service delivery for a range of clinical disciplines. This includes:

  • Maintaining financial accountability within the department.
  • Overseeing the management of non-clinical staff, equipment, and consumables.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance and quality control in testing processes.
  • Overseeing staffing allocation to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient services.
  • Managing performance reviews, training, and development for staff.
  • Monitoring key quality indicators, including turnaround times.

Requirements:

  • HCPC Registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
  • Management qualification is desirable, or a willingness to work towards this.
About You

You will need to be highly organized, with excellent leadership and communication skills. Experience in a similar role, along with a management qualification, would be advantageous. We also require candidates to be flexible and willing to work varied shift patterns, including weekdays and weekends.
