Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our dynamic accountancy firm in Cheltenham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

About the Role
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with HMRC regulations
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Liaise with clients to address any queries and provide financial support

Our client is a well-established accountancy firm known for their personalised approach to client service. They specialise in providing tailored financial solutions to small and medium-sized businesses, helping them navigate the complexities of accounting and taxation.

Key Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping practices and accounting principles
  • Proficient in accounting software Xero

The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
