Job Title: Hospital Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Hospital Manager to lead our Cellular Pathology Service at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and driving service improvement initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of biomedical scientists and support staff to deliver high-quality laboratory services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve laboratory efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of laboratory services with clinical and administrative functions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and accreditation standards.
  • Develop and manage budgets, resources, and personnel to achieve service objectives.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a senior management role in a laboratory or healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop strategies to improve service delivery.
  • Knowledge of laboratory operations, quality management, and accreditation standards.
