We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking senior manager to lead our Cellular Pathology Service. As Hospital Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end process in Histology, including administrative functions and oversight of four hospital mortuaries across the network.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and lead our Cellular Pathology service, ensuring high-quality and innovative diagnostic services.
- Manage a team of Biomedical Scientists, providing guidance and support to achieve operational excellence.
- Collaborate with the Consultant Head of Department, laboratory lead, and mortuary lead to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Oversee the implementation of new technologies, such as Sakura SMART automation and Digital Pathology.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including clinicians, researchers, and external partners.
The North Midlands and Cheshire Pathology Services (NMCPS) is a collaboration between University Hospital of North Midlands (UHNM), Mid Cheshire, and East Cheshire NHS Trusts. We aim to provide a world-class integrated diagnostic service, where patients receive the highest standards of care and the best people come to learn, work, and research.
Person Specification- BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
- MSc or equivalent qualification to FIBMS Standard.
- State Registration with HPC.
- Recognised Management Qualification / Training or extensive management experience.
- Proof of ongoing CPD.
