The role of an SEN Teaching Assistant at Positive Futures Recruitment Ltd is to provide dedicated support to students aged 11-19 with SEMH/ASC needs based in Kidderminster.

As a new member of our team, you will be expected to establish a warm and supportive relationship with pupils to promote their wellbeing and learning. This may involve supporting with care needs from time to time, as well as adopting a tailored approach to positive behaviour management.

You will work closely with the class teacher to contribute to providing high-quality educational activities and experiences through the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum. This challenging and differentiated approach aims to enable pupils to achieve their full potential in all areas of learning.

To succeed in this role, you will have a strong understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures, as well as experience working with pupils with SEN or SEMH/ASD. A Level 2 award in Support Work in Schools or equivalent is desirable, along with GCSE Maths and English qualifications at Level 2/C or above.
