About the Role
York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (LLP) is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team in Scarborough. As an Electrical Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the smooth functioning of our engineering services, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with our maintenance team to identify and resolve electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including generators and emergency lighting.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and implement solutions to improve electrical system efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues as needed.
Requirements
- Completed accredited trade-specific engineering apprenticeship (3-4 years)
- Current driving license with no more than 12 points within any 3-year period
- Inspection & Test (2391), LOLER, Asbestos, Confined spaces, and First Aid Training
Desirable Qualifications
- Ventilation (CP)
- Pressure Systems (SP)
