About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Accounting and Financial Reporting Leader to join our dynamic team in Manchester. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the growth of our Accounting and Business Advisory (ABA) practice, specifically within the Accounting and Financial Reporting (AFR) team.

As an integral part of the largest ABA team in the Northwest, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AFR services. You will lead a team of talented professionals, develop innovative solutions for our clients, and foster a culture of excellence within the department.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of accounting and financial reporting services to a diverse portfolio of clients, encompassing large corporations, owner-managed businesses, and international groups.
  • Manage project budgets, resources, and ensure timely completion of deliverables while adhering to RSM's quality standards.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance on complex accounting and financial reporting matters.
  • Develop and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth and expertise.
  • Actively participate in business development initiatives, identifying new opportunities and expanding our client base.

Your Qualifications

  • Possess a recognized accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA.
  • Have a minimum of three years of experience in a managerial role within a professional practice setting.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (IFRS and UK GAAP), and relevant industry regulations.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication, interpersonal, and client relationship management skills.
  • Be a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a proven track record of success.
