Financial Accountant Senior

Join Global Accounting Network as a Financial Accountant Senior and be a key part of our finance team. You will assist with financial statements and statutory returns, and work on future accounting projects such as a Finance Systems Implementation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the finance team in preparing and reviewing financial statements and statutory returns.
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement financial reporting processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide technical accounting knowledge and advice to the business on budgeting and financial planning.
  • Write accounting papers for senior management to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to review and improve accounting systems and reconciliations to ensure strong internal controls.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure the financial health and stability of the organization.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent) with a strong background in financial accounting.
  • Experience in a financial accounting role, preparing statutory accounts under IFRS.
  • Knowledge of IFRS 16, leasing, and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Natural leadership ability, with a desire to step into people management.
