About the Role

CUSTOMER SERVICES - IT'S A PEOPLE THING

Are you someone who can start a conversation in an empty room? If the answer is yes and yes, we have a role in our Customer Service team for you.

In this position, you will work in our customer contact centre dealing with major customers where you'll be responsible for delivering best-in-class service while using product knowledge and expertise to maximise upselling opportunities. Your days will be spent communicating with customers on the telephone, via email and responding to website requests. You will deliver optimum customer service through effective management of inbound and outbound calls to our regional customers, based from one of our customer offices.

You'll manage an order from enquiry to post-hire feedback, taking ownership of the customer journey and building relationships with regular customers. It will also be your role to manage daily deliveries and collections within the depot. Naturally, you will be a great co-ordinator, who enjoys planning and organising and working in a busy but friendly team environment.

  • We are seeking a candidate with proven experience in a Customer Service role, preferably handling in-bound order/sales enquiries where they have used their skills and experience to successfully complete transactions and satisfy customers.
  • They should be comfortable using their own judgment and initiative to make decisions in line with our company policies and pricing structures.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach is required, as they will enjoy a varied work day in a fast-paced operational environment where they will manage multiple tasks, deadlines and targets whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement is essential, putting forward and acting on suggestions to improve processes and service levels.
  • A good level of computer literacy in MS Office packages is necessary.
