Job Description

NELFT is the largest provider of Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) in England, covering 144 schools in Southend, Essex, and Thurrock. Our team delivers evidence-based individual and group interventions for children aged 4 to 18 years old, with a focus on whole-school approaches to improve mental health outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of children and young people, overseeing formulation, treatment, and management plans.
  • Undertake accurate risk assessments and escalate cases as necessary.
  • Provide information and support to schools on evidence-based psychological treatments.
  • Travel across the county for supervision, clinical work, and training.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a graduate training program and eligibility for registration with a professional body.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with evidence-based approaches to low mood, anxiety, and behavior problems in children and young people.
  • Experience of undertaking delegated leadership tasks and managing trainee staff effectively.
