Product Manager

We are seeking a skilled Product Manager to join our team at British Engines. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing one of our product portfolios, including cable glands, cleats, or lugs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with sales and product development teams to capture customer needs and communicate product requirements.
  2. Develop and implement product strategies to drive business growth and improve revenue, margin, and pricing.
  3. Manage the product lifecycle, from introduction to decline, ensuring new products are added to the portfolio to benefit the overall business.
  4. Be the global product expert, with a deep understanding of product applications, features, and unique selling points.
  5. Maintain a thorough knowledge of the competitive landscape and determine sales and marketing strategies to remain competitive.
  6. Discover customer needs and generate specifications for new products.
  7. Build business cases for new products, including sales forecasts, pricing, and margin targets.
  8. Develop sales and marketing strategies for new products, including launch plans, pricing, and marketing materials.
  9. Create and deliver sales presentations to sales teams and customers.
  10. Plan and conduct hands-on training classes on product installations.
  11. Work with production teams to develop phase-in/phase-out plans and facilitate customer orders.
  12. Monitor financial performance, gather customer feedback, and provide product support.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven work history in product development, project management, or product management environments.
  • Knowledge of cable management, cable glands, cable cleats, or cable lugs.
  • A degree in a marketing or engineering discipline, such as electrical or mechanical.
  • Commercial analytical skills and a basic commercial understanding.
  • Project management skills and knowledge of project management tools.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
