Job Title: Environment Ecologist
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Environment Ecologist to join our team at Penguin Recruitment Ltd. As an Environment Ecologist, you will be responsible for leading and managing ecological projects, providing expert guidance on environmental assessments and biodiversity strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and impact studies for various projects.
- Conduct and oversee field surveys, including protected species surveys, habitat assessments, and ecological monitoring.
- Prepare detailed ecological reports, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies.
- Mentor and support junior ecologists, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Ensure projects comply with relevant legislation, planning policies, and environmental standards.
Requirements:
- Experience within an ecological consultancy or a related field.
- Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related discipline. A master's degree or PhD is advantageous.
- Proficient in ecological survey techniques, data analysis, and report writing.
- Strong understanding of UK wildlife legislation, planning regulations, and best practices in ecological management.
