About the Role

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Ecological Project Manager to lead our ecological projects team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering high-profile ecological projects across diverse sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee and manage ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and impact studies for various projects.
  • Field Work: Conduct and supervise field surveys, including protected species surveys, habitat assessments, and ecological monitoring.
  • Writing Reports: Prepare detailed ecological reports, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior ecologists, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Compliance: Ensure projects comply with relevant legislation, planning policies, and environmental standards.

What We're Looking For:

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in ecology and project management. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related discipline and at least 3 years of experience within an ecological consultancy or related field.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is approximately £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a car allowance, good pension scheme, health insurance, paid memberships, and extra day off on your birthday.
