Job Overview

We are seeking a Relationship-Based Practitioner to join our family safeguarding service in Somerset. In this role, you will work closely with adult-focused practitioners to develop assessments and plans, focusing on specialist areas such as substance misuse, domestic abuse, and mental health.

Your primary responsibility will be to undertake direct work with children and young people to understand their experiences and perspectives. You will also work with parents and the wider family network to support them in identifying strengths and changing behaviors.

In this role, you will need to be passionate about relationship-based social work and proud of your profession. You should be able to reflect creatively on how to build relationships that make a positive impact on children and families.

Key Requirements
  • Qualification in social work and registration with Social Work England
  • Substantial experience working with children and families in social work
  • Possession of a full driving licence and access to a vehicle

Salary: £41,000 - £46,500 per annum, depending on experience.
