Apprentice Family Healthcare Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Practitioner to join our team at Grosvenor Medical Centre. As a Salaried GP, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working autonomously and as part of a supportive team.
The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering patient-centered care. You will be expected to work in line with a BMA job plan, including telephone and face-to-face consultations, visiting patients at home, and dealing with queries and paperwork in a timely fashion.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care, working autonomously and as part of a supportive team

- Assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
- Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
- Develop care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols
- Collect data for audit purposes
- Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions

Grosvenor Medical Centre is an innovative practice caring for 15,500 patients across two sites. We are part of the Grosvenor, Hungerford, Ropegreen Primary Care Network, providing a strong foundation for high-quality place-based care in the south of Cheshire.
We have a well-established team of healthcare professionals, including GP partners, salaried GPs, advanced clinical practitioners, and a well-being team. We work closely with community teams and have first contact MSK practitioners working within the practice.
We are a training practice for GP registrars, F2s, medical and nursing students, and we are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the development of our team members.
Person Specification
- Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
- Evidence of Annual appraisal and revalidation
- General practice (Vocational Training Scheme) trained
- On GP performers list
- Enhanced DBS check
- UK work permit (if required)
- Medical Defence Union cover
- Evidence of continued professional development
- MRCGP
- Experience of teaching undergraduate students
- UK driving licence
