Job Description

The successful applicant will work closely with teachers and staff to plan and deliver engaging lessons for students of diverse abilities, supporting their understanding of the curriculum and helping them build essential academic skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons for students of diverse abilities.
  • Support students' understanding of the curriculum and help them build essential academic skills.
  • Monitor and track student progress, offering constructive feedback and assistance when needed.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and a love of learning.
  • Work closely with teachers and staff to share best practices and enhance the school's curriculum.
  • Attend school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications or comparable experience as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Strong knowledge of the secondary school curriculum and a passion for education.
  • Experience working with secondary school students.
  • Effective classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and support students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A commitment to continuous professional growth and a willingness to engage in training and development.
