Data Scientist for Private Credit Portfolio Monitoring

An exciting opportunity has arisen to contribute to the growth of our team as a Data Scientist for Private Credit Portfolio Monitoring. In this role, you will work closely with the Portfolio Monitoring team and collaborate with technology and investment teams to improve current workflows and implement enhancements for efficiency and accuracy.
We are seeking a highly skilled individual with expertise in data collection, storage, and extraction. You will proactively seek creative ways to improve data resiliency checks, automate periodic processes, and write Python scripts to streamline data collection, validation, and processing for regular and ad hoc reporting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics tools to support portfolio monitoring and decision-making within the private credit team.
- Ensuring all processes and code are well-documented for future reference and scalability.
You will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including:
- Implementing data resiliency checks to maximize accuracy.
- Automating periodic processes by aggregating multiple data sources related to reporting, ratings, and portfolio monitoring.
We are looking for someone with:
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience working with databases and comfortable handling large data sets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Interest in financial services and an interest in learning more about private credit.
The ideal candidate will have experience with dashboarding tools (Power BI, Qlik or similar) and knowledge of cloud-based platforms (Databricks, Microsoft Fabric). We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
