Job Title: Disability Assessment Professional

About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced Paramedic to fill the position of Disability Assessment Professional within our organization. This role offers a perfect blend of professional challenge and work-life balance, with standard office hours from 9am to 5pm and flexible working arrangements available.

In this capacity, you will play a pivotal role in assessing individuals and determining how their disabilities or health conditions impact their daily lives. Utilizing your advanced clinical knowledge, you will meticulously gather each person's medical history, conduct thorough examinations, and compile accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP). These reports will serve as the foundation for the DWP's decisions regarding benefit entitlement.

This dynamic role requires you to interact with clients both in-person and via video/telephone calls, showcasing sensitivity, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills. Your professionalism, combined with your ability to communicate effectively, will enable you to build trust and rapport with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct rigorous assessments of individuals to understand the effects of their disabilities or health conditions on their daily lives.
  2. Create well-structured, accurate reports based on your clinical expertise and observations.
  3. Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, fostering empathy and understanding throughout the assessment process.
