About the Role:

  • Providing high-quality support to individuals struggling with substance misuse, empowering them to reach their recovery goals.
  • Delivering screening, assessment, and recovery planning, ensuring a coordinated approach to meet the unique needs of each service user.
  • Implementing strategies to reduce drug and alcohol-related harm, promoting a safer community environment.
  • Fostering carer, service user, and community involvement, promoting a culture of support and inclusivity.
  • Advocating for access to partnership services, ensuring seamless referrals and care.
  • Utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to promote positive behavioral change.
  • Ensuring effective safeguarding practices for children and adults, prioritizing their well-being and protection.
  • Providing education and awareness on substance misuse, promoting informed decision-making.
  • Collaborating with service users to achieve social reintegration, enabling them to lead fulfilling and purposeful lives.

About You:

  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and/or relevant experience in a similar field.
  • Exhibiting excellent communication and IT skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Being proactive and able to work independently, with strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Having a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and best practices.
  • Being a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively with various professionals and stakeholders.
  • Showing adaptability and a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
  • Understanding the importance of information governance and adhering to necessary safeguards.
