Collections and Arrears Specialist Role

Our client, a leading specialist business lender, is seeking a skilled Collections and Arrears Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for identifying and supporting customers who fall into arrears and showing early warning signs of distressed debt.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and support customers who fall into arrears and show early warning signs of distressed debt.
  • Support the management of relevant cases on the Bank's Watchlist to reach a positive outcome for the customer and the Bank.
  • Support customers with short-term payment difficulties using forbearance strategies, overseeing the lifecycle of these agreements and raising any issues that are identified.
  • Support the management of cases where the appointment of an LPA Receiver or Administrator is likely, by agreeing repayment strategies and liaising closely with the Recoveries team.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Experience within Financial Services.
  • Experience in dealing with Solicitors and Insolvency Practitioners.
  • Understanding of and expertise in Treating Customers Fairly.
  • Understanding of and expertise in dealing with vulnerable lending customers.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and coordinate a heavy workload with colleagues.
