Job Title: Principal Network Compliance Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Network Compliance Officer to join our team at Essential Employment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with various regulations and laws related to street works and highway safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deputise for the Network Team Leader to ensure service continuity and maintain high standards of compliance.
  • Provide expert guidance on the New Roads and Street Works Act, Highways Act, and maintenance codes.
  • Oversee daily inspections and enforcement for street works and highway safety, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Traffic Management Act 2004, and associated codes, including the London Permit Scheme.
  • Enforce the Highways Act 1980 using various legal documents and notices, promoting a safe and compliant environment.
  • Represent the Client at public inquiries, meetings, and provide technical reports, showcasing your expertise and professionalism.
  • Prepare legal reports and evidence, and assist lawyers in legal proceedings, demonstrating your ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Issue notices regarding highway activities, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Conduct inspections of statutory undertakers' and highway authority's works for compliance with safety codes, upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
