We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Network Compliance Officer to join our team at Essential Employment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with various regulations and laws related to street works and highway safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deputise for the Network Team Leader to ensure service continuity and maintain high standards of performance.
  • Provide expert guidance on the New Roads and Street Works Act, Highways Act, and maintenance codes to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee daily inspections and enforcement for street works and highway safety, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Traffic Management Act 2004, and associated codes, including the London Permit Scheme.
  • Enforce the Highways Act 1980 using various legal documents and notices, and represent the Client at public inquiries and meetings.
  • Prepare legal reports and evidence, and assist lawyers in legal proceedings to ensure the Client's interests are protected.
  • Issue notices regarding highway activities and conduct inspections of statutory undertakers' and highway authority's works for compliance with safety codes.
