Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Technology Risk Officer to join our team at Primark. As a key member of our Technology leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of technology risk and compliance across our organization.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of various control frameworks and regulatory requirements, including COBIT, NIST-CSF, ISO, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX). They will also have the ability to communicate complex technical issues to diverse audiences and develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight of technology risk and compliance practices, collaborating with key stakeholders to establish team priorities, goals, and objectives in support of business strategies.
  • Support the development of the Security & Risk strategy and roadmap, ensuring Primark Tech maintains operational compliance to key regulations such as payments and GDPR.
  • Develop the risk appetite of Primark Tech with its leadership team in collaboration with the enterprise risk function, owning and maturing the IT risk management framework.
  • Report and recommend risk mitigation strategies to senior leadership, establishing a multi-regulation IT General Controls framework and a technology regulatory framework for each country of operation.
  • Chair the Technology Risk & Audit Forum, reporting regularly to the Primark Tech leadership team, business stakeholders, and other senior management on the effectiveness of risk management activities.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience demonstrating increased responsibility in the technology risk and controls domains in complex environments, including controls attestation.
  • Strong understanding of various control frameworks and regulatory requirements, such as COBIT, NIST-CSF, ISO, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in an easily understood, authoritative, and actionable manner.
  • Understanding of business needs and commitment to delivering high-quality, prompt, and efficient service to stakeholders.
