Head of Technology Risk and Compliance

At Primark, we're committed to fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in technology risk management. As our Head of Technology Risk and Compliance, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and security of our technology operations.

This key leadership position reports directly to the Chief Technology Security & Risk Officer (CTSRO) and is responsible for developing and implementing effective technology risk management practices. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish priorities, goals, and objectives that align with business strategies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a robust technology risk management framework, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to technology risk and compliance teams, driving excellence in risk management practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish risk objectives, develop mitigation strategies, and report on risk management activities.
  • Chair the Technology Risk & Audit Forum, ensuring effective risk management and compliance across the organization.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in technology risk management, compliance, and controls. You'll bring a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills to this role.

  • Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in technology risk management, compliance, and controls, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks, including COBIT, NIST-CSF, ISO, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analysis, driving informed decision-making.
