Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sustainable Development Engineer to join our team at Climate17. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will play a vital role in the success of our projects. The ideal candidate will have recent graduate or junior engineer experience in renewable energy development, design, construction, and commissioning. You should be able to solve technical problems with a thorough and diligent problem-solving mindset, work positively in a team, and communicate across different stakeholders. Additionally, you should be willing and able to occasionally travel within the UK for site visits. Knowledge of key Solar and/or BESS and/or high voltage technologies and contractors and suppliers is also essential. A Bachelor's degree or apprenticeship in engineering (any discipline), physics, applied maths or equivalent experience is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinating internal and external technical design reviews
  • Co-ordinating the work of Technical Advisors/Consultants for the purposes of project financing and due diligence
  • Collaborating with Innova engineering team members to achieve alignment on key technical topics for EPC and equipment supply contract negotiation, including Employer's Requirements, Testing and Commissioning schedules etc.

Requirements:
  • Recent graduate or junior engineer with up to or approximately 3 years' experience in renewable energy development, design, construction and commissioning
  • Proven ability to solve technical problems with a thorough and diligent problem-solving mindset
  • Proven ability to work positively in a team and communicate across different stakeholders
  • Willingness and ability to occasionally travel within the UK for site visits
  • Knowledge of key Solar and/or BESS and/or high voltage technologies and contractors and suppliers
  • Bachelor's degree or apprenticeship in engineering (any discipline), physics, applied maths or equivalent experience

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum.
