About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced researcher to join our team at the University of Glasgow. The Research Associate will play a key role in contributing to a major Wellcome-funded Discovery Award investigating new epidemiological methods to measure tuberculosis transmission in Malawi, South Africa, and Zambia.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in infectious disease epidemiology and global health, with a proven track record of presentation and publication of research results in quality publications/conferences. They will also have experience of making a leading contribution in academic activities and be able to demonstrate a degree of independence as illustrated by identification of project objectives from assessment of the literature, design & analysis of experiments & drafting of papers.

Key Requirements

  • A PhD in a relevant field (e.g. epidemiology, global health).
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a research role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The salary for this position is estimated to be £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
