Job Summary

The University of Glasgow's School of Infection and Immunity is seeking a Clinical Lecturer in Infectious Diseases and General Internal Medicine. This Lectureship is a fixed-term position, up to 6 years or until six months after obtaining CCT, whichever is soonest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hold MRCP or equivalent and have a national training number at the time of taking up the post.
  • Already hold a higher research degree (MD/PhD), or be supported in developing an appropriate project, pursuing necessary funding, and executing research suitable for submission of a post-graduate degree.
  • Be appointed at the appropriate level of Specialty Trainee and enter the West of Scotland Higher Training Programme in Infectious Diseases and General Internal Medicine.

Working Environment

The post will be based within the School of Infection and Immunity in the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences (MVLS) of the University of Glasgow. Clinical training will focus on Infectious Diseases and General Internal Medicine, taking place at designated West of Scotland Centres. Research training will be undertaken in the world-class academic environment of the University of Glasgow with excellent opportunities in Virology, Bacteriology, Immunobiology, and Parasitology.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: £43,504 to £64,461 per annum.
