Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Director to join our growing team focused on UK Central Government opportunities. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities, and leading the sales process for large government procurement programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business, referrals, and identification of new opportunities. Regularly engage with customers both onsite and remotely, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and driving revenue growth.
- Contract Management: Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure commercial targets are achieved for your clients and contracts are executed successfully.
- Opportunity Management: Focus on developing new business opportunities primarily within existing accounts, but also exploring net new logo accounts. Lead sales opportunities developed through our Commercial team or strategic technology partnerships (Microsoft, AWS, Oracle, Red Hat).
We are looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a proven track record of success in business development within the UK Public Sector. You will possess:
- Strong experience working in a business development environment, specifically targeting the UK Central Government.
- In-depth knowledge of Public Sector tender processes, including relevant Government Frameworks.
- Experience within an IT Services and technology solutions environment (rather than product).
- Exceptional influencing skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at various levels and drive successful outcomes.
- A proven ability to build and nurture strong customer relationships.
