About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Level 3 Early Years Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship candidate at Duchess Nursery in Abingdon.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to our young children, while also contributing to the development of our nursery team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to the Policies & Procedures of Duchess and Chatsworth Schools, ensuring compliance with the Children Act 2006, Health and Safety Legislation, and all requirements and guidance laid down by Ofsted and the EYFS.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve the best outcomes for our children.
  • Take primary responsibility for the care and supervision of pre-school key children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and intellectual needs are met.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of activities to meet children's individual needs.
  • Utilize play and interactive activities to develop language and vocabulary, introduce scientific and mathematical concepts, and improve social skills.
  • Plan and implement the daily work schedule and lesson plans in line with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Liaise with parents to ensure effective communication within the nursery.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Early Years Educator Qualification
  • GCSE's A*-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent
  • Must obtain a clear DBS
Working Hours

Duchess Nursery is open between the hours of 08:00-18:00 Monday-Friday. Working hours will be 40 hours per week between 08:00-18:00.
