The North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Psychologist to join their team. As a key member of the clinical psychology department, you will be responsible for providing specialist psychological assessments and care to clients who present in crisis with complex mental health conditions or learning disabilities.

About the Role:

This Senior Clinical Psychologist position is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals with complex mental health needs. You will be working closely with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and support to patients and their families.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. To provide clinical supervision and training to less experienced colleagues within the designated psychology service
  2. To undertake formal research as an integral part of the job and act as field supervisor to doctorate trainees
  3. To promote at all times a positive image of people with mental ill health or learning disabilities
  4. To undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual clients and provide specialist advice to other professionals on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management
